At IHMVCU, we’re always looking for ways to make banking easier and more secure for you. That’s why we’ve enhanced our text messaging capabilities! Whether it’s keeping you informed about your loan payments or verifying your identity for account-related requests, our texts are designed to help you stay connected while keeping your information safe.
How we’re using text messaging
Here’s how we’re making it easier to manage your finances on the go:
✅ Loan payment reminders: No more guessing when your next loan payment is due! We’ll send you a courtesy text when your payment is upcoming, due, or late.
✅ Member validation for added security: When you call our Contact Center or use a drive-up video teller for account-related requests (like transfers or debit card issues), we may send a verification text to confirm your identity while you're on the call or at the machine.
What we’ll never send via text
Your security is our top priority. That’s why there are a few things we’ll never send through text:
❌ Threats or scare tactics: We’ll never text you with alarming messages about your account being at risk or threaten legal action.
❌ Requests for personal Information: IHMVCU will never ask for your account numbers, passwords, or PINs via text.
❌ Suspicious links: We won’t send links asking you to log into your account. Any official links will always have IHMVCU.org as the domain.
Stay vigilant against scams
If you ever receive a text claiming to be from IHMVCU that asks for personal information or contains suspicious links, don’t respond or click anything! Instead, contact us immediately:
