To help their efforts in our community, we selected six outstanding local nonprofits to receive a piece of our tiered $13,000 Giving Tuesday donation. We want YOU to vote for the recipient of the top donation.
What is Giving Tuesday, you ask? It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Alan's House
Rock Island, IL
Alan's House is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to providing a safe shelter for displaced youth in the Quad Cities community, offering a supportive, secure environment for children ages 10-17 who cannot remain in their homes.
Hope at the Brick House
Davenport, IA
Hope at the Brick House is a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive support to youth, including an after school program that offers homework help, literacy assistance, crafts and speech enhancement.
HOPE Initiative
Galesburg, IL
HOPE Initiative partners with Convoy of Hope to distribute surplus food, supplies and essentials to the community. They support 66 local nonprofits, provide “Hope Boxes” with necessities to seniors, and donate hundreds Thanksgiving turkeys every year.
Knock and Drop Iowa
Des Moines, IA
Knock and Drop Iowa is a nonprofit organization that provides essential resources and food. Its primary mission is to fight hunger through food collection and distribution, with a goal of establishing its own facility to reach more people in the community.
QC Paws
Moline, IL
QC Paws is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the animals of the Rock Island County Animal Care & Control Shelter. Its mission is to protect the welfare, health, and safety of pets while promoting responsible pet ownership throughout the community.
Sunshine Community Services Center
Kewanee, IL
